Bio - Materials Laboratory
R & D work in this area is related to development of bio-materials using collagen-Polymer composites, graft copolymers, hybrid polymers and conjugates for drug delivery, medical and surgical applications. Synthetic polymer materials for medical, surgical and cosmetic applications.
The BioMaterials Lab is relocated in TICEL, Biopark developed by TIDCO with a view to provide world class standards complying with BSL2 / BSL3. The Biosource Centre is equipped with clean air facility for carrying out work related to Microbiology, molecular Biology, Plant and Animal Tissue Culture, Downstream Processing and analysis. CLRI is a technical partner with TICEL in managing the analytical and animal cell culture facilities at the Biosource Centre.
